ReStore is a home improvement outlet store that sells donated new and gently used merchandise at a significant discount. All proceeds benefit Habitat for Humanity of Miami and Shelby Counties. OH.

Prices are 50 – 75% below retail, making home improvement possible for many families.

How To Donate

Ready to drop off your donations? Just stop by anytime between 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday to Friday and 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday at the rear of our building. Look out for the "Donation Drop Off" sign. One of our friendly staff members will be more than happy to help you unload and provide you with a donation receipt.

What Can You Donate

Items We Accept

  • Appliances: Must be in working order, less than 10 years old with no rust; Dishwashers must be less than 3 years old
  • Bathroom: Toilets (Drop off only); New tubs (except cast-iron)
  • Building Materials: Bricks & pavers (must be palletized) Drywall in whole sheets; Siding (whole boxes that are dry)
  • Countertops: Corian®, granite and Silestone® only
  • Flooring: New hardwood and tiles (tiles and flooring must be in original box); Cleaned area rugs
  • Furniture: Upholstered furniture (must be free of stains, rips or excessive pet hair); Sleeper sofas (less than 15 years old); Bookcases (assembled); File cabinets; Small computer desks; Tables with chairs
  • Hardware & Tools: In working order with no rust; Acrylic paints
  • HVAC/Plumbing Supplies: Less than 2 years old; Furnaces and Water heaters (less than 10 years old)
  • Kitchen Cabinetry: Wood only; Must be complete set with all doors attached and undamaged
  • Lighting: Ceiling fans (with all parts and boxed); Ceiling lights/fixtures; Chandeliers; Table and floor lamps
  • Lumber: 6 ft. or longer; Unused; No scraps
  • Office Furniture: Bookcases; File cabinets; Office chairs (no executive desks or cubicles)
  • Windows & Doors: Exterior doors (less than 10 years old); Interior doors; New windows

Items We Are Unable To Accept

  • Tube Televisions
  • Entertainment Centers and Cabinets for tube televisions
  • Mattresses and Bedding
  • Upholstered furniture with stains, tears, rips, holes, pet hair
  • Most commercial (non-residential) building materials
  • All paints (except acrylic paints)
  • Hazardous or flammable materials
  • Baseboard heaters and wall heaters
  • Garage doors
  • Baby items
  • Clothing

Tax Receipt

Most donations are tax deductible. You will receive a receipt for your donation to use for tax purposes. Habitat's ReStore will not estimate the value of your donation; you will do that.
